We want to welcome you to the IUPUI Jaguar Forensics Team web site. As a member of JagSpeech, you will embark on a journey of self-discovery, camaraderie, competition and excitement that no other co-curricular activity can offer. In our 8th year since re-establishment, we have won numerous awards and been ranked nationally as a speech team by the National Forensics Association. None of this would be possible without you, the student.

Who We Are?

The IUPUI Jaguar Speech and Debate team is a team of undergraduate students who compete in different areas of competitive public speaking and Lincoln-Douglas Debate. We travel to, and compete at tournaments both regionally and nationally. There are Interpretation and performance events in speech. Ranging from performances of Poetry, to performances of plays with a partner. We will attend between 6 and 8 tournaments in the Fall, and between 5-6 in the spring (Including the national tournament). You can pick and choose which tournaments you want to attend.

Dominata Classic

The Indiana University, Purdue University Indianapolis Forensics team and Department of Communication Studies would like to invite you to the 7th Annual IUPUI DOMINATA CLASSIC to be held on the campus of IUPUI on Saturday, February 6, 2010.  IUPUI will offer all 11 AFA /NFA events. We will also offer an IUPUI-only event, allowing students to use the art of persuasion to discuss conflict resolution topics.The Curtis Memorial Oratorical Contest (CMOC) offers a $1000 first place price.

Signing up to be apart of Jaguar Forensics is easy! Just fill out the Contact Form on our website and let us know that you'd like to join. We'll send you information about meeting times, coaching availabilities and help you begin your journey into the world of forensics. You will be asked to dedicate between 2-4 hours a week. This time will be used learning about the events, coaching and practicing. The only money you will need will be for incidential money during trips. (Money for extra food, forgotten toiletries, emergencies, etc.)
